We have had Ali two months this week. What a trip!! She fits into our family as if she was born to us. There are odd things and things we can't and probably never will be able to explain about her but we love her more then ever.
She has finally discovered that if she doesn't like the food we give her she can spit it out...this took her almost six weeks of enduring everything we put into her mouth. She LOVES ice cream! And we thought she would hate the bath but the shower, the bath and the pool are her three favorite places to be!
She doesn't like to be alone in the crib....one of those things that we haven't figured out....did they leave her there all the time and now she just can't stand it. I listened to her scream bloody murder tonight as I keep reading all this advice from other parents... YOU ARE THE PARENT, SHE IS THE KID... well it finally got the best of my husband as he is now in there snuggling with her as I type!
We are so lucky! I just can't get over the whole experience. I would do it all over again tomorrow if I was able. Even the long wait and the paperwork just doesn't seem to be all that when you are sitting at this end looking into the face of a beautiful child. Even when she is screaming her lungs out!
She has really learned a lot in these two months. She can say momma, Dadda, puppy, and she sings a song about Chocolate Easter Bunnys! You can really understand her when she sings it!! LOL
